Prescreener

Before scheduling, all prospective clients complete a brief yes/no questionnaire. This helps confirm that Polaris is equipped to serve your needs. It takes about a minute.

Confirmation

Your request is reviewed within one business day. Once confirmed, you will receive a booking notification with your scheduled time.

III

The Consultation

A 15-minute phone or video call. Amy will walk you through what therapy at Polaris looks like in practice. Come with questions about the work, the approach, or anything else.

IV

Decision

Take your time. Research shows that working with the right person is one of the strongest contributors to successful outcomes in therapy.

Amy Gordon is a Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (LGMFT) in the state of Maryland and a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) in the state of North Carolina. All clinical services in Maryland are currently provided under the supervision of Lindsey Foss, LCMFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, in accordance with Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists licensure requirements. All clinical services in North Carolina are currently provided under the supervision of Dr. Theresa Thomas, PhD, LMFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Marriage and Family Therapists licensure requirements.
